We want to look at the greatest disease of all time: sin. In Isaiah 59: 1-2 we read “No, the hand of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too hard to hear. 2 But it is your crimes which separate you from your God; It is your sins that hide his face from you And prevent him from listening to you. ” And Romans 3:23 reminds us of the sad reality that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; The worst thing that can happen to a person is to die and not see God. But by reading the book of Acts (2:47) we have hope. Rom 3:24 says “and they are freely justified by his grace, by means of the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.” The book of Acts contains several cases of conversion and entry into a life of relationship with God (See Barry Baggott). Let us note the precise steps or stages in this book from these two accounts: Pentecost (Acts 2: 36-41) and the Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8: 34-38). In summary, it is about (1) Acknowledging one's life of sin, (2) Believing in the solution in Christ, (3) Repenting of one's sins, (4) Confessing one's faith in Christ, and (5) being Baptized for the forgiveness of sins and the obtaining of the Holy Spirit. God wants our salvation, 2 Peter 3: 9 & John 1:12. God bless you! For the full message, listen to the audio.
